GREAT STORE. VERY HELPFUL EMPLOYEES
I am relatively new to saltwater aquariums. I live about 30 miles from the nearest aquarium store and over 40 miles from Atlantis Aquarium. I had been using the closer aquarium store since I got my aquarium because its more convenient. When I discovered a major problem with my aquarium that store seemed not to want to take any time to help me diagnose it and even wanted to charge me to test my water. A friend sugggested Atlantis Aquarium so I made the extra long drive. The employees there were awesome. They made lots of time to ask me the necessary questions and tested my water on ALL levels. This combined atttention to my problems correctly identified the problem resulting in only a few lost livestock items. I truly believed they saved my $2000 worth of livestock and they have earned a loyal customer. It's worth the extra drive.

If you have to
Great looking store, Poor service and I feel pressured when I look around. I agree with the other review over all

Great stock and nice people
Their inventory is always nice and healthy and employees are always ready to help. They get busy so patience is needed at times, but overall i think they care about their clients happiness. They take pride in their tanks and livestock and it shows. I will continue to use all the time.

Rachel's way cool...I haven't gotten to know Greg/everyone else on a first name basis yet, but I'm sure I will because I plan to use them exclusively. Just got a new aquarium handed down to me & they were wicked awesome friendly & helped me get set up, free water tests to help me get my new(used) tank out of critical & back to balanced, lots of advice, even told me what fish live well together & all that. & The best part is, they didn't make me feel like a complete tool for not knowing the little bubble-maker bubbles are just for aesthetics. (or for any of the other stupid things I said/thought/assumed). Thanks, guys. :) They obviously take great pride in their store & product--very well-kept, and NO FLOATERS like you might find in the tanks of their corporate BigbrandCo competitors, who shall remain nameless. And their hours are GREAT--12-8--open late for us who work in the really real world.

Excellent fish store
While True Atlantis Aquariums is SB's only fish store, Greg and the staff have never taken advantage of that fact. I have been patronizing the store since they opened in 05 and they have always been helpful when needed and provided me with any and all assistance I required. I have been to the Ventura fish stores and have found them to be rude and difficult to get answers from. Atlantis is well stocked for a small store and they often only have one person working in store, so if they are busy you may have to be patient, but it gives you an opportunity to look around and see their selection. I live halfway between Ventura and where Atlantis is and I prefer driving to Atlantis because I know I will get a higher quality of service. I Hope they stay around for many years to come.
